Magical was an early stage science and technology incubator founded by Nova Spivack. I led the R&D skunkworks. We designed systems for mixed-reality interaction before most people had tried a headset.

As Head of AR/VR, I worked to define how digital should feel when it exists in physcial space. Some interesting ideas came together here, one was the Reality Slider, a physical control interface that lets you incrementally blend between physical and digital. I also designed systems for AR-native messaging, lens-based portals between the physical and digital worlds, and location-aware virtual object placement.
